Letter to Fr Eugene from Mrs James Connolly
22 St Patrick’s Road

27th December 1917
Dear Fr Eugene,
I was very pleased to get your card. I too have been thinking of you and had asked Father Gerald for your address. You will be glad to hear that the Clinton Boys are doing very well and giving great satisfaction. I also have good news of their Father. He wrote a note to the Workhouse Master stating that he was returning to the Catholic Church of his own free will. I know you will be glad to hear this. I also hope he will carry out this. Please God, he will get strength and grace to do so. How are you Father? I hope you enjoy good health, and working hard.
We are all praying for God to speed the day that you will be back in the midst of the people who love you. With best wishes from all for a happy New Year.
Yours gratefully,
L Connolly
