Ingredients
- 1 pound Flour
- 2 ounces Butter
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 pint Buttermilk
- 1 cup Raisins
Method
Put all dry ingredients into a bowl. Rub in the butter. Mix in the raisins. Beat the egg and add to the buttermilk. Then add to the bowl to make a dough. Put onto a floured surface and knead gently. Put on a floured baking tray . Bake in a hot oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
