Albert Daniels from Drimkeary, Kylebrack, Loughrea was a talented and artistic student in Mercy College, Woodford at a time when Art was not a subject on the curriculum. He did his Leaving Certificate in 1993 and subsequently undertook an apprenticeship in Carpentry another area in which he excelled.
As a student, especially in his final year in College, we had many discussions about following a career in Art but Albert who was also excellent at Woodwork and Construction Studies decided on a different path. In February 1995 he did this lovely drawing of Lady Well in Abbey and gave me a copy. I am delighted to share this through the Abbey Heritage website and hope he is still using his innate talents!
